This is a response to Nick Williams' message on mathematical modeling. In particular he asked:

"Everyone has seen how game theory(GT) has been applied to real-world happenings, but has anyone done research seeing if GT has any application to pure mathematics, or links to other fields of study. I think this would be a very interesting endeavour if one was tempted to look."

I think there have been applications of game theory to non-standard logic. E.g. you can imagine a game between a prover and a sceptic. I think I saw something like this either by Andrea Schalk and Martin Hyland (Cambridge) or by Johann van Benthem. I am not sure anymore. It would be indeed interesting to look at that. Unfortunately most economists do not find it interesting I guess. [Manage messages]
