08/18/2005 04:23 PM by Klaus Pforr; trigger-strategy in repeated games | Friedman (1971) shows the existence of equilibria in non-cooperative infinitely repeated sigma-discounted state-games. Does the prove also hold if the non-cooperative equilibrium in the stage game and the pareto-superior strategy are in mixed strategies (e.g. chicken game, volunteers dilemma (diekmann(1985), journal of conflict resolution))? Isn't there a problem to identify defection, as players can only interpret discrete realisations of the mixed strategies? Thanks in advance [Manage messages]
