Respond to the question: The door game?

The game seems to be some kind of "battle of sexes" game, since the payoff matrix looks like follwing Pass Dont Pass Pass 0 / 0 2 / 1 Dont Pass 1 / 2 0 / 0 If 1 passes and 2

Hi, does anybody know anything about the class of games that contains the following? Consider 2 players that want to pass through a door. They try to pass at discrete time t=0,1,.... Their available strategies at every unit of time are to try to pass or to wait. If both of them try to pass, nobody passes and they will continue to play. The objective of each player is to pass through the door as soon as possible (e.g if she passes at time t her cost is t).
Once a player passes, the game is over for him (the other will pass at time t+1 (complete information)). I suspect that this game should have been studied, but I don't know in which class of games it belongs. Thank you. [Manage messages]
