One kind of Asymmetric equilibrium is as following: for one donor: contribute nothing regardless of his own value; the other donor: D(v)=0, if v

I want to see if i'm doing this correctly.
2 Donors, A and B are considering to contribute to a public good, organized by a collector C. A and B attach values Va and Vb, respectively to the good. Values are private and independent draws from a uniform distribution on [0,1]. They move simultaneously and independently to decide the size of their donations. They give the donations (Da and Db) to C. If they do not meet the cost of production K, then the donations are returned. If they do meet the cost, then C builds the good and keeps the extra money. The utilities then are Ua=Va-Da, Ub=Vb-Db. K<1. One symmetric step function equilibrium is Da=Db=1/2K. Another is Da=Db=K. The others i'm not sure of, but I believe that they are Da=Db=[0,1/2K]. My understanding is that they are all symmetric equilibria. I am very uncertain about that though. Also: I believe there are no asymmetric equilibria. Please correct me if I'm wrong [Manage messages]
